Nintendo officially showcased Switch 2 on January 16, and the reveal video is garnering quite a lot of attention. Now, while the trailer did offer a detailed look at the gaming handheld, it left out a lot of unconfirmed details, and new leaks have shed some light on that.
One of these leaks comes from the prominent leaker NextHandheld, who claims that the Joy-Con controllers of the Nintendo Switch 2 will sport Hall effect sticks. This would be a major improvement over the first-gen gaming handheld, as it will enhance the lifespan and lower the chances of drifting issues occurring, something that analog joysticks are prone to.
The leaker also revealed that Nintendo may launch a special edition of Switch 2, which may come with the Mario Kart 9 bundled. On the note of the games that will launch on the new gaming handheld, YouTuber eXtas1s reports that Microsoft will invest heavily in Nintendo's new console.
According to the YouTuber, the gaming handheld will get Fallout 4, Starfield, an unspecified Call of Duty game, and Diablo IV ports. These will seemingly be joining the already rumored Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Flight Simulator ports for the Nintendo Switch 2.
In other related news, there have been many leaks since the reveal trailer of the Nintendo Switch 2. One of them has shed light on the possible launch price, claiming that it will launch at $449, with the special edition costing $499. If this stands true, Nintendo's new gaming handheld will see a very noticeable price jump from the last-generation device (ROG Ally curr. $499.99 on Best Buy).
