A new video clip of Saber Interactive’s game World War Z has been released. Entitled “Stories in Moscow,” the trailer gives a brief glimpse into the gameplay and shows off the game’s graphical presentation. A few hardy souls remain in the Russian capital, preparing for an onslaught of zombies. What will likely help this particular title stand out from the current abundance of zombie-themed games is the tempo: Players will have to face hordes of the living dead sprinting at them en masse.
World War Z isn’t just about constant first-person shooting of rotting corpses, though. There will be a single-player mode and a local or online four-player cooperative mode – because you’re going to need some help from friends to deal with all the zombies baying for your blood. Gameplay includes thinking about indirect methods of surviving the undead offensive by using traps, obstacles, and components of the surrounding environment. Gamers can expect to face the gnashing teeth of hungry zombies in places like Moscow, Jerusalem, and New York.
Saber Interactive is a game studio that was founded in New Jersey in 2001 and has offices in Madrid, Saint Petersburg, and Kiev. Previous titles the developer has worked on include Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and NBA Playgrounds. Paramount Pictures and Mad Dog Games are involved with publishing World War Z, which is expected to be made available later this year on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms.
