Xiaomi has recently announced the upcoming global launch of its new A27Ui 4K monitor. The A27Qi is another addition to the A27 series, which has been revealed last year, but is now finally available for purchase in the UK and many other European countries.
The Xiaomi A27Qi carries an official price tag of £119.99 or €149.99. Compared to the Xiaomi A27i, which has been available for quite some time, the new A27Qi is about €50 more expensive.
Xiaomi’s new QHD monitor
The new 27-inch display is officially called the "Xiaomi 2K Monitor A27Qi". It has a QHD or 2.5K resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, which is sharper than the Full-HD resolution of the aforementioned A27i. However, the IPS panel’s refresh rate of 100Hz is identical. The same applies to the brightness of 250 nits and contrast ratio of 1000:1.
Xiaomi further advertises a natural color reproduction and wide 178-degree viewing angles. With a DeltaE<2, the monitor should be decently calibrated, and it covers 100% of the sRGB and 95% of the DCI-P3 color space. Overall, the 8-bit panel can display 16.7 million colors. A TÜV-certified blue light filter is onboard, while DC dimming is supposed to minimize display flickering that can cause eye strain.
Xiaomi’s 1440p monitor has several connectivity options including DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI and a headphone jack, but the affordable monitor does not sport a USB hub. Last but not least, the Xiaomi A27Qi has an adjustable stand but it also compatible with VESA mounts.
