New Vivo smartphone tipped to launch as 4G/LTE-only alternative to V40 SE
The V40 SE is now official; however, Vivo seems intent on going back to the last-gen version of that product name for its next new smartphone, which it might unleash on an unsuspecting budget smartphone market.
It has allegedly popped up as the Vivo V2349 (confirmed as the V30 SE's real model number by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG)) in a Geekbench listing that looks like an exact replica of that of the Android 14-powered, 8GB RAM V40 SE (or V2337) - with 1 crucial difference.
Their SoCs show up with the same up-to-2.21GHz configuration and code-name (parrot) on the benchmark; however, as the Bluetooth SIG (which certified the V30 SE right next to its V40 counterpart) notes, only one of them has 5G.
Therefore, while the V40 SE has the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 (just like the Vivo Y200e (or V2336), now available with the same Eco-Leather finish options on Amazon.in) with the same 4G/LTE-only budget specs, the V30 SE most likely has the 4 Gen 1.
It has also been spotted on the Google Play Console database (albeit with a different model number (V2327, which belongs to the V30 Lite), which reveals that it even looks like the Y200e.
Nevertheless, it seems it might go for less than the V40 SE's current ~€279 (~$297) starting price should it launch soon as these new leaks suggest.
