New SUV e-Bike features motor-gearbox unit, 800 Wh battery and many practical elements

Bulls has launched a new full-suspension e-bike designed to deliver strong performance across virtually all types of terrain and conditions, offering the kind of specifications typically found on trekking e-bikes. Priced at €6,999 (roughly $8,026), the Vuca Evo FS 2 falls into the SUV e-bike category. This class can be described as mountain bikes equipped with trekking-style features or, more accurately, trekking e-bikes with full suspension. Unless extremely low weight is a priority, SUV e-bikes are effective options for both everyday riding and touring. That said, the Vuca Evo FS 2 is not rated for technically challenging terrain or jumps exceeding 15 cm ( 5.9 in).

Like most SUV e-bikes, the Vuca Evo FS 2 features a suspension fork and a rear shock. Both are made by Fox and offer 120 mm (4.7 in) of travel, placing the bike somewhere between a trekking e-bike and a fully fledged mountain bike. Bulls has installed a Pinion Motor.Gearbox.Unit with 12 speeds. As the name suggests, this system combines an electric motor and a gearbox into a single unit and also offers an automatic shifting feature.

Bulls has opted for a Gates carbon belt instead of a conventional chain, eliminating concerns about rust. The Vuca Evo FS 2 weighs a hefty 30.8 kg (67.9 lb). While partly due to its massive 800 Wh battery, this substantial weight also reflects its suite of practical features, including a full lighting system, front and rear mudguards, a kickstand, a MIK-compatible rack, and a FIT Compact display. The Vuca Evo FS 2 is currently available in Europe through authorized dealers.
