The Casio G-Shock DWE-5600JB-1A9 watch is rolling out to more countries. This is the J Balvin collaboration wearable, which launched in the US with model number DWE5600JB1A9 earlier this month. It follows older DWE-5600 series watches like the DWE-5600HG-1, which arrived in 2022.
A product page for the G-Shock DWE-5600JB-1A9 has appeared on several of Casio’s European websites for countries like the Netherlands, France and Italy. Here, it is listed as a January release, though no launch date is provided. As usual, prospective customers are requested to register for updates, though it is worth noting that these are not always sent out. In Europe, the DWE-5600JB will cost €229.
The DWE-5600JB-1A9JR is also about to be released in Japan. Casio is expected to launch the model in this market at some point in February for ¥28,600 (~$186). Again, no exact release date has been provided, meaning it could be as early as February 1st. As a reminder, the DWE5600JB1A9 is currently available to pre-order for $230 at the Casio online store in the US.
This J Balvin collaboration model comes with two watch cases and straps, allowing users to switch between black and yellow colorways. Features include a Carbon Core Guard structure for enhanced toughness and an LED backlight to help you read the watch in low lighting. There is a countdown timer, alarms and a 1/100-second stopwatch. Plus, it is said to be water-resistant to 200m and run for up to five years on a CR2016 battery.
