Cheaper Casio runners watches with five year battery life now available

Casio has launched two new watches in its LWS1200H series in the US. The LWS1200H-1A2V has a pink face with a black resin casing and band, while the LWS1200H-7A3V has a turquoise face and white casing and strap. Aside from their new colorways, these watches are identical to older variants in the range.

The LWS1200H, known as the LWS-1200H in other regions, is designed for runners. According to the product listing, it has enough memory to record up to 60 lap times, helping you to track your performance. Other features include a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, hourly time signals and three alarms. An amber LED backlight helps you to read the watch in darker conditions, and it has the ability to show dual time. On top of this, it offers 100 m water resistance, meaning you can wear it in the rain, and up to five years of battery life on a CR1620 battery.

The Casio LWS1200H-1A2V and LWS1200H-7A3V watches retail for $29.95 in the US, matching the RRP of predecessors like the LWS-1200H-1AVCF (curr. $21.92 at Amazon). Casio has yet to reveal plans to launch either of these two watches in Europe or other markets.
