Casio J Balvin Collaboration G-Shock DWE-5600JB watch launching in UK

Casio has confirmed that its J Balvin collaboration watch, the G-Shock DWE-5600JB-1A9, will launch in the UK. The model was released in the US earlier in January and is expected to launch in other European countries including the Netherlands, France and Italy in February.

The new product page on the G-Shock UK website indicates that the watch, known as the DWE-5600JB-1A9ER here, will retail for £209. There is no mention of a release date; the model is simply said to be “Coming soon”. Casio is encouraging those interested to sign up for email notifications of the watch’s release. However, historically, these alerts have not always been sent.

The J Balvin collaboration watch is the first Casio model from a partnership with a Latin artist. It is based on the DWE-5600 series watch, with typical features like a Carbon Core Guard structure, 200m water resistance, an LED backlight and up to five years of battery life. Tools include multiple alarms, a 1/100-second stopwatch and a countdown timer.

A notable aspect of this model is that it comes with classic black and translucent yellow watch cases and straps, allowing you to adjust its appearance. Other design elements include a J Balvin’s signature lighting bolt seen on the back casing of the watch and, again, the digital display’s LED backlight.
