The 556 USB-C Hub, launched earlier this year, is an 8-in-1 expansion gadget with a USB4 upstream port with 40 Gbps bandwidth. The hub is powered by a 100W USB-C PD-IN port, with 85W pass-through charging to the host device. Other data transfer ports include a 10 Gbps USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port and two 10 Gbps USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports. You can connect to monitors via 8K@30Hz HDMI and DisplayPorts; when using dual monitors, the resolution is limited to 4K@60Hz. The eighth port is for Ethernet.
The gadget is compatible with devices running Windows 10 or later and macOS 12 and above; models include the MacBook Air 2022 M2 and the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9.
