Samsung has announced a new Odyssey monitor to add to its extensive range, with the 43-inch Odyssey Neo G7 (G70NC) model being the latest member. At the moment, only a release date for Korea has been revealed, which lands on January 2, but there are plans to showcase the new 43-inch Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 gaming monitor at CES 2023 before progressing to a wider global launch, including for the North American market.
As mentioned above, the G70NC SKU has a launch price of 1.25 million won, which is equivalent to US$982, although the 43-inch Odyssey Neo G7 will certainly be priced much higher than that when it reaches American shores. For the money, buyers will get a Quantum Mini-LED display with a 3,840x2,160 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 144 Hz refresh rate, and 1 ms response time. In addition, the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 delivers a high 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and comes with VESA-certified DisplayHDR 600 performance.
Connectivity options on the 43-inch Odyssey Neo G7 monitor include 2x HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4, and 2x USB 3.0 ports. The flat-screen device comes with 20 W stereo speakers and has an adjustable display that ranges from 20 inches to 43 inches, depending on the content. The Samsung Gaming Hub streaming utility is built into the monitor, and it supports AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro software for smoother gameplay. The 43-inch Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 gaming monitor can also be used for various services (like Netflix) without a connected PC or TV, thanks to OTT inclusion.
