Netflix Narcos: coming to a controller near you soon
For those who have somehow not gotten enough 20th-century Colombian drug-runner culture through the Netflix smash-hit Narcos, Curve Digital and Kuju have brought the same to gaming. Their new title Rise of the Cartels offers never-before-experienced content based on the popular show. This new release has versions for PC, as well as for Playstation 4 (PS4), Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch.
Narcos: Rise of the Cartels allows a gamer to take the part of either the illicit group in question or the law-enforcers working against them in the US. Accordingly, it will incorporate the original characters El Patron or Steve Murphy as the player's source of missions and direction.
The Narcos game is to be made available as a physical and virtual game on its respective new platforms. The latter can be pre-ordered as of September 19, 2019; alternatively, Kuju and Curve plan to have the hard copies on sale in the last quarter of the same year.
