The Mycle Charge e-bike has been launched. The pedelec has Kenda 20 x 4-in fat tires for an easy ride, with plastic reflectors and reflective tape on the sidewalls to keep you visible in low lighting. A 250 W brushless motor can assist you at speeds up to 25 kph (~16 mph), delivering up to 65 Nm of torque. A 36 V 10.4 Ah detachable and lockable battery provides up to 65 km (~40 miles) range, the greatest of any Mycle folding bike, recharging fully in three to five hours.
The pedelec features front and rear ZOOM disc brakes and seven-speed Shimano Gears, with seamless shifting on the handlebars. Plus, the bike is fitted with a kickstand, rear rack, and front and rear LED lights. The Selle Royal saddle with built-in suspension and a front suspension fork reduce the impact of a bumpy road on your body.
The bike has a 6061 aluminium alloy frame, weighing 26 kg (~57 lbs) in total and supporting combined loads up to 125 kg (~276 lbs). According to Mycle, you can fold the bicycle in 10 seconds, including the pedals. This should make the pedelec easier to transport; when collapsed, it measures 109 x 78 x 60 cm (~43 x 31 x 24-in). You can buy the Mycle Charge e-bike in the UK for £1,599 (~US$1,961) in Malibu Blue, Seville Orange and Matt Black.
