Budget SPLACH Twin motor scooter has hidden AirTag compartment
The SPLACH Twin dual motor scooter has reached the InDemand stage of its Indiegogo campaign, following a successful crowdfunding round. The folding electric scooter has been designed to suit your daily commute and off-road adventures. SPLACH claims that the scooter is “the most ideal and affordable all-in-one green vehicle”, also describing the vehicle as a budget model, presumably referring to its current discounted price.
Twin 600 W motors are fitted to the electric scooter for adults, with 12-speed modes available and a top speed of 28 mph (~45 kph). The vehicle can reach its top speed in 3.9 seconds and has a peak power of 2,000 W, helping it to tackle up to 40% inclines. A 48 V battery provides up to 35 miles (~56 km) range and fully recharges in 7.5 hours.
The SPLACH Twin has 8 x 2.5-in puncture-resistant fat tires and a dual suspension system for a comfortable ride. A hiding place for an Apple AirTag is an optional accessory that can be mounted on the stem of the e-scooter, allowing you to track and locate your vehicle. The foldable electric scooter can be collapsed in 10 seconds, making it easier to transport. The vehicle weighs 52 lbs (~24 kg) and supports payloads up to 220 lbs (~100 kg).
You can currently buy the SPLACH Twin electric motor scooter for US$898; this price is locked until August 5. The vehicle is expected to retail for US$1,699 in the future and is shipping globally.
