Motorola is getting ready to say goodbye to 2023 and look ahead to a 2024 replete with updated, upgraded mobile devices already. The brand asserts that the new range will be the first to be augmented with its OEM Lenovo's custom AI in earnest, its flagships, Moto G-series mid-ranges and the Razr Plus' successor included.

Lenovo China's head of mobile devices Chen Jin has invited Motorola fans to get ready to say goodbye to 2023 with his company, while giving them a heads-up as to what to expect from its 2024 mobile device line-up in the process.

Some of these upgrades ostensibly consist of AI - lots of AI. Chen Jin now asserts that 2024 will be the year in which Motorola devices become full members of the Lenovo Tianxi AI ecosystem (in China, at least), thereby possibly hinting that the upcoming generation of smartphones will have the updated silicon necessary to do so.

Accordingly, that might also imply that the next-gen Razr Plus (or Razr 40 Ultra) is due a successor powered by the top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform. The flagship foldable is also apparently in line for a "stunning" design overhaul, possibly finished in Motorola's latest Pantone-endorsed colorway Peach Fuzz

The next-gen Razr is also slated to be joined by new Moto X (or Edge x0 for the global market) candybar flagships with equally "groundbreaking" LLM use-cases, as well as new Edge S variants (which rebrand as devices such as the Edge 30 Fusion in markets such as the US) and Moto G-series units of "comprehensive" upgrades.

In the meantime, the Razr+ still has its end-of-2023 -$300 discount on Amazon today (December 29, 2023).
