Reviews for the Motorola Moto G54 Power Edition

Motorola Moto G54 Power Edition turned out to be one of the most interesting smartphones in its price category. It has excellent battery life, a nice IPS screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, very good cameras, and a large amount of RAM and internal memory that can be expanded with a MicroSD card. It's also worth adding eSIM support, stereo sound, and a nice bonus in the form of a standard headphone jack. Of course, any available model has compromises that may be important to a potential owner. Moto G54 Power Edition has a not very productive processor, and the maximum video resolution is FullHD. The smartphone costs 8499 UAH and the only competitor is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12. It has an AMOLED display but a smaller battery.

Let's not beat about the bush here - there is nothing particularly impressive or majorly appealing about the Moto G54 Power. Well, perhaps other than the battery life, but that is right there in the name and kind of a given on a 6,000 mAh pack. The rest of the experience the phone offers is kind of mundane and without surprises. this also means there are no bad surprises either. The Moto G54 does what it does without too much fanfare. It is an okay budget device that does have certain nice aspects to it, particularly for the price range. The 120Hz refresh rate and the relatively good way the dynamic refresh rate is handled on the phone are much appreciated. The ability to lower said refresh rate down to 30Hz to conserve power is a great addition to the mix. The Moto G54 Power also has a surprisingly solid stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio support. The camera setup, while nothing to phone home about, is also quite versatile thanks to an autofocusing ultrawide that doubles nicely as a macro shooter.

The Motorola Moto G54 Power 5G is a good device that has a capacious battery, a decent chipset and a clean interface. It’s a good option for those looking for a hassle-free smartphone, or for those who don’t want to deal with the over-bloated UI that devices in this range usually offer. It should be noted that the Moto G54 Power is a surprisingly powerful budget smartphone that offers better performance than I expected. Its camera could have been better and more full-featured, the charger is more powerful considering the large battery capacity, but still, it’s hardly the best phone in its price category. All in all, the Motorola Moto G54 Power 5G is a great choice for those looking for a budget smartphone with good functionality and decent performance.

It’s easy to decide if the Moto G54 Power is a good phone, or not. It all depends on what you plan to do with it. Take it to the mountains and not have to panic over whether your phone will die? The Moto G54 Power is for you. But if you take it to the mountains and expect to catch some breathtaking photos and videos, then look elsewhere. If you know the Moto G54 Power’s limitations and you just want a daily driver that doesn’t get in your way, but it’s there when you need it, this is the one. Just remember to go for the 12GB RAM version and set that screen at the 120Hz refresh rate – budget phones can be cool, too.
