Mechrevo's newly released Wildcat Lake laptop undercuts the MacBook Neo by a wide margin

Mechrevo has listed the Wujie 14S 2026 on JD.com. The MacBook Neo rival is powered by an Intel Wildcat Lake processor and marks the gaming-focused brand's first laptop built on the platform. Reservations are open until August 27, with sales starting the next day; for now, the launch is limited to China.
Performance
The Wujie 14S runs on the Intel Core 5 315, an entry-level option in the Wildcat Lake lineup that pairs two performance cores with four LP-E cores, for six cores in total. It also features a 2-core Xe3 iGPU, 12 GB of RAM, and a 500 GB SSD. According to our benchmarks, the chip offers the same level of performance as the Apple A18 Pro found in its rival, the Neo.
Display
On the front, the laptop has a 14-inch, 16:10 display with a resolution of 1920x1200, a 60 Hz refresh rate, and claimed 100% sRGB coverage. This notably trails the 120 Hz panels and wider gamut coverage offered by recent Wildcat Lake rivals targeting the same MacBook Neo, such as the recently released Acer Go Air. However, it is understandable given that Mechrevo is targeting an even lower price point.

Design, connectivity, and battery
Mechrevo lists the chassis at 1.2 kg and 16.95 mm thick, with a construction combining metal and composite materials. Port selection includes two USB-C and two USB-A connectors, plus an HDMI 2.1 output. Wireless connectivity comes from dual-antenna Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth, powered by a 60 Wh battery.

The listed price starts at CNY 4,199 (around $584), with a discount on JD bringing it down to CNY 3,899 during the preorder period. This undercuts the base MacBook Neo MSRP in China by 30%.
Pricing and availability reflect Mechrevo's current JD.com listing and are subject to change before launch.
