The HP Zbook Ultra 14 G1a with AMD Ryzen Strix Halo was originally announced at CES 2025 in January, but details on pricing and an exact release date were still missing at that point in time. However, HP’s official online store has finally revealed the initial MSRPs.
Accordingly, even the base model with an AMD Ryzen AI Max Pro 385, 32GB RAM and a 512GB SSD costs a hefty $4,296. HP is even asking as much as $8,250 for the top-tier model with the Ryzen AI Max Pro 395, 128GB RAM and a 4TB SSD. More affordable models are equipped with a 14-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, only the flagship model comes with a 120Hz OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels.
This makes the business notebook significantly more expensive than consumer-oriented laptops powered by Strix Halo. For example, the ROG Flow Z13 with the Ryzen AI Max+ 395, 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD costs $2,299 directly at Asus, while the Framework Desktop with the same processor and 128GB memory costs $1,999.
In return for the higher price, buyers do get some unusual features, such as two USB-C ports that both support Thunderbolt 4, which is a rarity for notebooks with AMD processors. Moreover, the Zbook Ultra 14 sports an NFC chip, a three-year warranty and a wide selection of security software, including a three-year subscription for HP Wolf Pro Security. More details about the Zbook Ultra 14 can be found on the official product page.
