The Mammotion Yuka mini Vision Perimeter Wire Free Robot Lawn Mower has been released in Europe. Designed for lawns measuring up to 700 m² (~7,535 ft²) in size, it has a different navigation system to the original Yuka Mini.
Mammotion’s new Yuka mini Vision uses its triple-camera ‘vision’ system to navigate your garden with a Smart Edging feature. The company suggests that the technology provides particularly precise obstacle detection, picking up things measuring as little as 5 x 5 cm (~2 x 2 inches). It is also said to allow the mower to work in low lighting. Plus, the robot can tackle slopes up to 45% with five pivoting razor blades offering 190 mm (~7.5 inches) cutting width.
The Yuka mini vision has a removable 4.5 Ah battery that will automatically recharge as necessary. According to Mammotion and its beta testers, it can be set up in a minute, as there is no need to lay boundary wires or position RTK antennas. With one click, the robot will map your garden, with users able to make any adjustments in the accompanying app. Other app features include mowing schedules, a lawn design tool and alerts for possible device theft. Alternatively, you can control the mower with Amazon Alexa and Google Home voice commands.
You can now buy the Mammotion Yuka mini Vision robot lawn mower for €1,199. This is the same price as the older Mammotion Yuka Mini 700 mower, which uses the NetRTK+ Vision system (curr. $1,198 at Amazon). Whether or not it will be released in the US is unclear.
