MSI presented its latest industrial mini PCs at this year’s IFA expo in Berlin, and among the models that stood out was the MS-C902 slim fanless box designed for signage, kiosks, automation and AIoT edge computing.
Even though the exact processor models are not specified, the spec sheet mentions that the MS-C902 is powered by Intel’s Alder Lake-P U-series, which come with a typical 15 W TDP, but maximum TDP is 28 W. Top of the line CPU in this case is the Core i7-1265UE with 10 cores and 12 threads clocked at a maximum of 4.7 GHz plus integrated Xe graphics with 96 EUs. These CPUs can be complemented with up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and a storage combo made of an M.2 NVMe SSD and a SATA SSD. There is also an M.2 B key for NANO SIM and an M.2 E key for Wi-Fi and BT connectivity.
No USB-C ports are offered. Instead, the video output side includes 2x HDMI + 2x DP connectors, and the port selection also features 3x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 + 2x USB 2.0 as well as an audio jack. Besides the Wi-Fi card that seems to be optional, the MS-C902 model integrates dual 2.5 GbE NICs with appropriate jacks. The bottom cover can be easily removed to access RAM and storage for eventual upgrades.
Thanks to the fanless design, the case has a profile of only 29 mm. Availability and pricing info was not provided.
