Nokia and OFF Global launch PureBook Fold / Lite 14.1-inch budget laptops with Intel Jasper Lake processors
Nokia and OFF Global are expanding the notebook portfolio with two new inexpensive PureBook models powered by Intel’s Jasper Lake ultra-low voltage processors. The PureBook Fold brings the portability and versatility of a 2-in-1 model with tablet and laptop modes, while the PureBook Lite is designed to be a sleek all-rounder with features for the whole family.
The spec sheet is mostly the same for both models, with the exception of the PureBook Fold touchscreen, which also adds slightly to the weight and profile (18.6 mm / 1.66 kg vs 17.7 mm / 1.47 kg). Both devices thus feature a 6 W Intel Pentium Silver N6000 processor with 4 cores / 4 threads clocked at a maximum of 3.3 GHz and an Intel UHD Graphics iGPU with 32 EUs. This is complemented by 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB SSD storage. Users may also expand the storage capacity via the included microSD card reader.
Display-wise, the models come with a 14.1-inch FHD IPS panel capable of 250 nit maximum brightness and 60 Hz refresh rates. The chassis is made of solid but light plastic, and OFF Global provides black, red and blue color options for the display lid.
Port selection includes 2x USB-C 3.2 + 1x USB-A 3.0 and an audio jack, plus Wi-Fi 5 and BT 5 connectivity, For increased security, there is a fingerprint sensor integrated in the upper right corner of the touchpad. Other features like a 1 MP webcam and a 38 Wh battery with quick charging through USB-C are also offered.
OFF Global will first launch these models in France later this September and availability in other countries should be announced soon after. The PureBook Fold will start at 549€, whereas the PureBook Lite will cost 449€.
