After launching smart TVs in the Indian market, Nokia could be looking at introducing its own laptops under the PureBook moniker. Nokia laptops would be launching exclusively via Flipkart and the e-commerce giant has teased that the Nokia PureBook would be "ultralight, powerful, and immersive".
About nine Nokia laptop models were first sighted in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certifications close to a week ago. The models include NKi510UL82S, NKi510UL85S, NKi510UL165S, NKi510UL810S, NKi510UL1610S, NKi310UL41S, NKi310UL42S, NKi310UL82S, and NKi310UL85S. According to the BIS certification, it looks like Tongfang will be providing the chassis for these notebooks.
Not much info is available about the specifications of these models themselves, but the numbers surely offer certain clues. For instance, an NKi510UL82S model could likely mean an Intel Core i5 10th gen processor with 8 GB of RAM (number after "UL"). Overall, it looks like we may get to see five Core i5 laptops (two with 16 GB RAM and three with 8 GB RAM) and three Core i3 models (two with 4 GB RAM and two with 8 GB RAM). According to a Times of India report, these Nokia PureBooks will ship with 14-inch Dolby Vision displays and would weight about 1.1 kg.
It is not yet clear when exactly the Nokia PureBook would be launching, but it shouldn't take too long given that Flipkart has already started teasing them. Nokia smart TVs are currently restricted to India and certain countries in the EU. A similar distribution can be expected for the Nokia PureBook as well or it may just be restricted to the Indian market for now.
