MSI Summit E16 Flip and the Summit E16 Flip Evo launched, powered by Core i7-1260P and Core i7-1280P options with choice of up to RTX 3050 Ti for non-Evo version

Updated. At its MSIology event, MSI has introduced upgrades to the Summit E16 Flip series with the new Summit E16 Flip and the Summit E16 Flip Evo. Both models are powered by the Core 7-1260P Alder Lake-P processor and feature largely identical specifications with the primary differences being with respect to the display and the GPU. The Evo version offers Iris Xe graphics while the non-Evo SKUs can be configured with up to an Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti.

Update 03/25: MSI has confirmed to us that the Summit E16 Flip and Summit E16 Flip Evo will also be available in a Core i7-1280P option outside the US.

Apart from the Summit E13 Flip Evo and Summit E14 Flip Evo, MSI also launched the Summit E16 Flip at its MSIology event today. The Summit E16 Flip comes in both Evo and non-Evo models. All SKUs are powered by Intel Alder Lake-P processors. The non-Evo variants offer discrete Nvidia graphics while the Evo SKU makes do with an Iris Xe iGPU.

Both the Summit E16 Flip and the Summit E16 Flip Evo are offered with only the Core i7-1260P as the processor of choice. The Summit E16 Flip convertibles sport a 16-inch QHD+ (2650 x 1600) 165 Hz 16:10 touchscreen that covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The Summit E16 Flip Evo, on the other hand, features an FHD+ 165 Hz display that covers 100% sRGB. An IR FHD webcam and MSI Pen support come standard on both models.

The Evo version is limited to 16 GB of LPDDR5-4800 RAM while the non-Evo variants can be configured with up to 32 GB. Storage options range include 512 GB and 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSDs. The Summit E16 Flip non-Evo variants offer a choice of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPUs with 4 GB of GDDR6 RAM. 

Connectivity options include Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX1675 with Bluetooth 5.2, a microSD card reader, 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports, 2x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A, 1x HDMI-out, and a combo audio jack. A 99-key white backlit keyboard and a glass touchpad are common to both mdoels. Both the Summit E16 Flip and the Summit E16 Flip Evo offer 4-cell 82 Whr batteries. However, the non-Evo versions come with a 100 W USB-C charger compared to the 65 W in the Evo model.

The Summit E16 Flip Evo will be available for US$1,549 while the Summit E16 Flip starts from US$1,899 and goes up to US$2,199 depending on GPU, RAM, and storage configuration.
