At the end of April 2021, the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo A11MT with Intel Core i7-1185G7 and Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7 96EUs visited out labs for an in-depth review. The A11MT model is the same as the one currently discounted on Amazon, only that we reviewed the black one. Right now, the Ink Black (A11MT-021) model is available for a price of US$1,895.97. The Pure White (A11MT-020) version has dropped by 22% from a list price of US$1,799, so those interested can get it for US$1,399.
According to the aforementioned review, the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo is "a convertible that won't throttle significantly when under load" but there also room for improvement in the display and hinge rigidity departments. The 120 Hz display shows noticeable ghosting, while the microSD tray, arrow keys, and Ctrl key are all quite awkward to use.
The MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo comes with 32 GB memory, one NVMe SSD with a generous capacity of 1 TB, and runs Windows 10 Pro out of the box. The list of connectivity options also includes Thunderbolt 4 and PD charging. The retail package is quite generous, since the laptop and power adapter are accompanied by a pen (the MSI Pen stylus with 4,096 levels of pressure) and a sleeve.
While our review concluded that the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo deserves an 87% rating, the Summit E13 Flip Evo lineup available on Amazon has a 3.6/5 score after 37 ratings. However, this rating is shared by models from more than just one generation, since the A12MT-002 model with Intel Core i7-1260P is also included.
