Launched just a few weeks ago at CES 2024, the new MSI Prestige AI laptops are already up for discounts at Costco. One deal that stands out right now is the $200 price slash on the 16-inch Prestige AI Evo with Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor that is available at $1,199.99 + $15 shipping.

The Meteor Lake Core Ultra 7 155H processor comes with 16 cores and 22 threads clocked at a maximum of 4.8 GHz plus an Intel Arc iGPU with 8 Xe cores and it is complemented by 32 GB LPDDR5x-6400 as well as a 2 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. Since this is compliant with Intel’s Evo standard, the RAM is not upgradeable, but users can add more storage through a vacant M.2 slot.

On the display side, MSI is offering an IPS panel with 2560 x 1600 resolution, 400 nit brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. This is not a gaming laptop, so the refresh rate is still modest at 60 Hz. Above the screen there is also an FHD webcam with IR sensor, HDR, 3D Noise Reduction and privacy shutter. The IR sensor can be combined with the fingerprint reader for added security.

Port selection includes 2x Thunderbolt 4 + 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 connectors, HDMI 2.1 video out, GbE jack and audio jacks plus a full-size SD (XC/HC) card reader. Wireless connectivity is ensured through Intel’s new Killer cards that support the latest Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 standards.

With the 99.9 Wh battery, this Prestige 16 AI Evo laptop weighs 3.32 lbs (1.5 kg) and is 18.95 mm thick. MSI supplies a 100W USB-C charger as well.

Amazon has the OLED variant available now, but it is significantly more expensive at $1,649.
