Gigabyte has now confirmed all details for the 2024 refresh of the AORUS 15. Not be confused with the AORUS 15X (2024), the AORUS 15 (2024) features a 99 Wh battery, a 165 Hz display, an RTX 4060 GPU and an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor to deliver a 'dual AI-powered gaming laptop'.

Gigabyte has now released the AORUS 15 (2024), a smaller alternative to the AORUS 17 (2024). To recap, the company spoke in late December 2023 of plans to update both machines to Intel's Meteor Lake platform. However, it did not specify which 'Intel Core Ultra 7' processor would be available, nor full device specifications.

According to Gigabyte's product page, the AORUS 15 (2024) will come with a sole processor and GPU option. Specifically, the new machine makes use of the Core Ultra 7 155H, a 28 W processor with 24 MB cache, a dedicated NPU and 16 cores split between 6 P-cores, 8 E-cores and 2 LPE cores. As a result of the processor's NPU, Gigabyte claims that the new AORUS 15 benefits from reduced CPU load and enhanced energy efficiency, albeit in unspecified ways.

Moreover, Gigabyte complements the modern processor with up to 32 GB of DDR5 RAM clocked at 5,600 MT/s split across twin SO-DIMM slots. Likewise, the AORUS 15 (2024) has a pair of M.2 slots that support PCIe 4.0 SSDs. Also, the gaming laptop relies upon the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, which provides 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, 3,072 shaders and a 2,370 MHz boost clock with a 140 W TGP. On top of that, Gigabyte includes a 15.6-inch display running at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels in a 16:9 aspect ratio with a 165 Hz refresh rate, Pantone validation and 100% sRGB colour space coverage.

Furthermore, the new AORUS 15 has a 99 Wh battery at its disposal that it can recharge at 240 W via its AC adapter or 100 W using USB Power Delivery through its Thunderbolt 4 port. Unsurprisingly, Gigabyte integrates an RGB backlit keyboard too, which delivers up to 1.7 mm of key travel, N-Key rollover and three lighting zones. Unfortunately, Gigabyte has not confirmed pricing yet; please see the company's website for more details.
