As CES 2025 rages on, tech companies continue to reveal brand-new as well as upgraded product lines. MSI has been hard at work as well, unveiling numerous products, among which is the upgraded Cubi NUC mini PC lineup.
At its heart, the MSI Cubi NUC AI+ 2M will now be powered by Intel's Core Ultra 200V "Lunar Lake" lineup of chips, housed in a relatively compact 0.826-liter chassis. The exact identifiers of the CPUs on offer are not disclosed, leaving us in the dark regarding the real-world performance potential of the product. Being a Lunar Lake-based system, it will also sport CoPilot+ functionalities courtesy of its NPU. The compact system lacks the luxury of dedicated graphics, and relies on the adequately potent Xe2-LPG iGPUs.
The Cubi AI 1UM, on the other hand, is even more compact, coming in at just 0.51 liters with a height of 37.5 mm. This variant will also sport Intel's Lunar Lake internals, allowing for CoPilot+ functionality. That said, the details regarding the CPUs on offer are yet to be revealed, making it rather problematic for us to predict the system's performance.
Both the systems sport a healthy array of ports, including dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, dual USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, HDMI, as well as dual 2.5 G LAN ports. WiFi 7, on the other hand, is present to care for wireless networking needs. Although pricing and availability details remain elusive, more information should come our way eventually.
