Less than a month has passed since details about the Minisforum MS-02 Ultra surfaced online. Nonetheless, Minisforum has managed to squeeze in a new appearance for the device before its official launch. To recap, the company brought the MS-02 Ultra to Japan Autumn IT Week 2025 last month before announcing that the device was a CES Innovation Awards 2026 Honoree last week.
For some reason, Minisforum has decided to boast again that the MS-02 Ultra has received a CES 2026 Innovation Award. Setting its marketing 'milestone' aside, Minisforum has left a new tidbit about the MS-02 Ultra at the bottom of its latest press release. Specifically, the company has now confirmed that the device will be available to purchase on November 20.
At this stage, pricing remains a mystery. Likewise, it is unclear whether this November 20 date will apply globally or just in certain markets. Nonetheless, many of the MS-02 Ultra's specifications are already known, including its reliance on an Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX processor to rival AMD Strix Halo options like the GMKtec EVO-X2 (curr. $1,699 on Amazon) with a 13% performance advantage over the Ryzen AI Max+ 395, according to our benchmarks.
While the Core Ultra 9 285HX contains a relatively weak iGPU, the MS-02 Ultra makes up for this with PCIe slots for adding a graphics card and USB4 V2 ports for connecting eGPUs. Moreover, the MS-02 Ultra can house up to 32 TB of storage via four M.2 2280 SSDs, as well as 256 GB of RAM and a 350 W Flex PSU within a 4.8 litre case that measures 221.5 x 225 x 97 mm.
