CES 2019 | Lenovo's Smart Clock will make sure you're always on time
Lenovo already offers quite an impressive range of smart home devices in its Smart Home Essentials range. Those wanting to make their house a bit more user-friendly can choose from Smart Bulbs that have adjustable color brightness and temperature, Lenovo Smart Plugs that can be turned off remotely, and Smart Cameras that will help you keep an eye on your prized possessions. Lenovo has now added the Smart Clock to that range.
The device, which can easily sit on a bedside table in an unobtrusive manner, can offer the kind of information that people would expect from a Smart Clock. Local weather forecasts and temperatures can be read on the screen, music can be played, and you can even choose between an analog clock face and a digital one…or have both showing at the same time.
On the back of the petite device it is possible to see the power port, a USB Type-A port, and an on/off switch for the microphone, in case you don’t want Google Assistant listening in to your night-time ruminations. The Smart Clock has been designed to adapt itself to its user’s sleeping habits, so hopefully it won’t turn on the lights at 3 am (unless you want it to) or play The Who’s greatest hits at full blast while you’re trying to catch forty winks.
Lenovo is planning on announcing the availability and pricing of the Smart Clock at a later date. It’s likely the device would make a suitable companion in any home that already has a Lenovo Smart Display in it.
