Lenovo has showcased its first-gen Legion Android gaming tablet in a new video teaser showing the slate in full from all angles. The clip gives the impression of being a full trailer for the slate's upcoming launch, reinforcing earlier leaks and teasers concerning its design in the process. Then again, a date for this event is still forthcoming.

Lenovo has just released a new preview for its Legion Y700 tablet. The new video advertisement shows the slate's design from all angles and in depth, confirming its CNC-machined unibody (albeit one with plastic antenna lines where one might expect to find them).

This metallic chassis has beveled edges and a button quite reminiscent of OnePlus' Alert Slider. It is also shown to exhibit the Dolby Atmos and JBL logos hinted at in an earlier leak; on this note, it is now abundantly clear that the Y700 has a single speaker grille set into its frame next to the USB type-C port, even though its front panel definitely has space around its edge to spare.

Despite this potential discrepancy, Lenovo now indicates that the Legion Y700 will have the advantage of being reasonably compact, having an 8.8-inch display (which, as the video points out, has a generous 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate).

In fact, this new teaser seems intended to promote the slate as a device as well-suited to everyday productivity as it will be to the typical gaming use-cases of its brand. However, despite all this, there is still no word on this tablet's debut. It is possible it might split an event with its impending flagship smartphone counterpart, the Legion Y90.
