CES 2022 | Alienware Tri-Mode Wireless Gaming Headset unveiled with ANC, Dolby Atmos, up to 55 hours of battery life, and more
Dell has announced several Alienware-branded accessories to complement the bevy of gaming laptops it unveiled at CES 2022. They include the Alienware Tri-Mode Wireless Gaming Headset. As its name suggests, it can operate in several modes depending on the users' needs. The headset also ships with a detachable boom mic with AI-powered noise suppression tech baked into it.
The Alienware Tri-Mode Wireless Gaming Headset features Hi-Res-certified 40mm drivers with a frequency range of 20Hz to 40 kHz and 32 Ohms impedance. It supports active noise cancellation (ANC), Dolby Atmos and can be customised with Alienware's in house AlienFX RGB software. One can also use the right earcup to perform basic tasks such as toggling ANC on and off, adjusting volume, switch tracks, and more.
Connectivity options on the headset include Bluetooth 5.2, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (1,000Hz polling rate), and a 3.5mm audio jack. Dell claims that the Alienware Tri-Mode Wireless Gaming Headset's battery can last up to 30 hours on Wi-Fi and 55 hours on Bluetooth. Fifteen minutes of charging over USB-C will be good for over six hours of gaming, Dell adds. A pair of Leatherette Memory Foam Earpads will keep your ears comfy during the long gaming sessions.
Lastly, the Alienware Tri-Mode Wireless Gaming Headset weighs 230G and is available in two colour variants, Lunar Light and Dark Side of The Moon. The former will hit shelves for US$199 on February 9 in North America, China, the United Kingdom, France and Germany, and we have to wait until April 19 for the latter.
