Alienware m15 R7 refreshed with up to an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti
Dell upgraded the Alienware m15 R7 to Intel Alder Lake processors a while ago, with the company offering options like the Core i7-12700H. However, it has now released AMD Ryzen 6000 editions paired with powerful NVIDIA GPUs. Specifically, the Alienware m15 R7 is now available with a Ryzen 9 6900HX, a 45 W APU that contains the Radeon 680M.
Additionally, the machine is configurable with up to a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, mirroring the AORUS 17X YE. Also, Dell offers AMD versions of the Alienware m15 R7 with 165 Hz, 240 Hz and 360 Hz display options, along with 64 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM. Elsewhere, the Alienware m15 R7 supports up to 4 GB of PCIe NVMe storage and comes with 56 Wh or 86 Wh battery options.
Separately, all Alienware m15 R7 configurations ship with three USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, a single USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C connection, HDMI 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Sadly, AMD machines must still do without Thunderbolt support for one reason or another. Unsurprisingly, the Ryzen 9 6900HX and RTX 3080 Ti combination does not come cheap, with Dell charging at least US$2,749.99. The Alienware m15 R7 starts at US$1,499.99 though, and is orderable now from Dell.
