Dell G15 5525 launched with AMD Ryzen 6000 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series options
In February, Dell released the G15 5520, an Intel Alder Lake upgrade for its 15-inch gaming laptop. Now, it has unveiled the G15 5525, the AMD Ryzen alternative to the G15 5520. Like its Intel counterpart, the G15 5525 is configurable with the RTX 3050, RTX 3050 Ti, RTX 3060 or the RTX 3070 Ti.
However, some GPU selections are tied to specific processors, like the RTX 3050 and the Ryzen 5 6600H. Additionally, Dell offers the G15 5525 with the Ryzen 7 6800H and Ryzen 9 6900HX, mirroring the Alienware m15 R7. Also, the former comes with a choice between 8 GB and 16 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM, up to 1 TB of storage and a 120 Hz or 165 Hz display.
For reference, both are 1080p panels, but the 165 Hz option also gets 50 nits brighter at 300 nits. Separately, Dell sells the G15 5525 in Dark Shadow Grey and Specter Green with Camouflage, both starting at US$899.99. By default, the G15 5525 ships with a 56 Wh battery, although an 86 Wh battery is configurable instead. The Dell G15 5525 is orderable now and should ship immediately.
