Dell's latest gaming laptops for the Indian market may be of the G series; however, the OEM asserts that the new G15 5520 and 5521 special edition (SE) come with "the goodness of Alienware" in some respects. It apparently informs the machines' thermal management and Command Center suite of PC management software.
It could also be argued that the influence can be seen in the 5520 series' design, with its "modern" aluminum lid and 12-zone RGB LED chassis-accents. The SE variant also boasts an iridescent logo not seen in the 5520 for the Indian market.
Similarly, the 5521 SE is the only one of this pair that ships with the new G-series' top-end 240Hz display. Nevertheless, the 5520 still offers fast 120-165Hz panel options, (albeit in FHD and 2-side-borderless forms only) and also only comes in the Dark Shadow Grey colorway, whereas the 5521 SE is finished in Dell's Obsidian Black.
Then again, both new variants offer either Core i5-12500H or i7-12700H processors, up to 8GB of GDDR6 RTX 3070 Ti graphics, 2TB SSDs and dual speakers tuned with Dolby Audio for Gamers.
The Dell G15 5520 and 5521 SE are available from Dell India's Exclusive Stores, dell.com/in, and some bigger retailers, starting at INR 85990 (~US$1,105) and 118990 (~$1,529) respectively.
