The name "ThinkPad X1 Nano" was first leaked in late February thanks to a driver-page on GitHub. Last month, it was leaked yet again, as part of the ThinkPad 2020 roadmap leak. Unfortunately, the ThinkPad roadmap did not reveal much, other than the fact that the ThinkPad X1 Nano will come out in late 2020.
Thanks to an interview with a Lenovo manager on Youtube, we have a few more details about this upcoming high-end ThinkPad. In his interview with the channel TechnoBok, Lenovo South Africa manager Thibault Dousson revealed that the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano will feature a 13 inch screen.
While not much more was revealed about the X1 Nano, two more things were mentioned. The laptop will focus on a light weight. And it will be out on the market around November, still in time for the Holiday season.
In the history of the ThinkPad X1 brand, the ThinkPad X1 Nano would not be the first laptop with a 13 inch screen, though it could be the first non-tablet model since the original ThinkPad X1 from 2011. The well-known ThinkPad X1 Carbon that succeeded the original X1 moved to a bigger 14 inch screen. Its convertible brother ThinkPad X1 Yoga also stuck with the 14 inch format, which is the most popular in the business laptop sector.
