Reviews for the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 16IRX9
The Legion Pro 5 16 G9 includes several adjustments over last year's Legion Pro 5 16 G8 both internally and externally. However, there's no escaping the fact that the model is on the bigger and heavier side even for a 16-inch gaming laptop.

While not much has changed in this iteration, this just proves that their design works wonders. Thermal management looks good and build quality is still great — all the while offering more powerful internals. Portability might not be its strongest suit (which is pretty usual in other gaming laptops as well), the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i is still absolutely useful for gamers and creators out there like me who want a powerful gear that I can still be able to comfortably move around with.

I fell in love with the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i last year. With the Generation 9 refresh, the company maintained its powerful graphics performance, excellent keyboard, sturdy exterior, and attractive price point, all with the incredible power of Intel’s latest processors. However, its battery life is significantly worse than it was last year, nearly an hour shorter, landing it among some of the worst longevity I’ve seen in a gaming laptop. It’s also maintained its average display in a time when gaming laptops have become brighter and more colorful. In short, the Legion Pro 5i hasn’t grown much alongside competitors. For a brighter and more colorful 16-inch display, we recommend the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16. Otherwise, the Legion Pro 5i is still fantastic.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i is a capable gaming laptop that delivers a solid performance and great gaming experience. If you can ignore issues with the scant battery life, I feel it is a good option for gamers especially with its handling of some demanding titles. The biggest advantage of the laptop is its powerful processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i delivers value, especially with its superfluid performance and dynamic frame rates which make it a delight for gamers.
