Reviews for the Maingear ML-16 MK2
The ML-16 MK2 emphasises GPU power, price, and thinness to be an attractive option for gamers or creators constantly on the move. The drawbacks, however, are difficult to ignore in the most literal sense as the fans can be quite loud.

The Maingear ML-16 gaming laptop was a delight to use, and there is plenty to like about it. For one, it is very well built, and feels like a premium machine. It also comes with a vibrant 16-inch QHD IPS display, which delivers crisp images at 2560x1600 resolution. When it comes to sound, the built-in speakers delivered acceptable though not outstanding quality audio. Battery life was about what one would expect with any gaming laptop with these specs as well. On the performance side, this machine delivered the goods, with its GeForce RTX 4070 pushing the pixels for gaming and its reasonably robust Core Ultra 7 CPU handling productivity tasks and standard laptop use cases well.

The ML-16 computer lineup starts at $1799. You can choose a preconfigured option—choosing Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 graphics pushes you above the $2100 range—or customize a machine to your specifications. It's also worth mentioning that Maingear will let you customize the lid of your laptop for an additional fee, too. So, you can make this machine look and run any way you want it to. If you're into gaming and need good graphics and enough computing power to support those activities, then the ML-16 is absolutely worth it. Just remember that the trade-off is a machine that gets pretty hot and will likely be uncomfortable to use without some kind of surface under it.

16.00":
15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
