Getting into the hardware details, the Lenovo LOQ 16 features a Zen 4 Ryzen 7 7840HS APU, an RTX 4050 GPU, 16 GB of DDR5-5600 memory, and 512 GB of PCIe Gen 4 storage. Other notable specs include a 16-inch 1200p IPS display with 350 nits of brightness, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and G-SYNC support. Unfortunately, the display is a budget panel that only covers a narrow 45% of the NTSC gamut, making it ill-suited for content creation work.
That said, the Lenovo LOQ is a capable mid-range performer. Our review of the LOQ 15 with the Ryzen 7 7840HS and RTX 4050 showcased the laptop to reliably run modern games at FHD resolution. For instance, at FHD with High graphics, we measured 82 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077, 63 FPS in Returnal, and 86 FPS in Final Fantasy XV Benchmark.
Finally, we can expect the Lenovo LOQ 16 on sale to feature decent endurance as our review unit with a similar 60 Wh cell lasted for 7.5 hours in our real-world WLAN test.
