Nearly three months after we initially reviewed the new integrated Radeon 780M, AMD has now finally released official drivers for the GPU. We are thus taking another look at the performance of both the Radeon 780M and the less-powerful Radeon 760M using synthetic as well as gaming benchmarks.

AMD Radeon 760M: Integrated graphics card in the Ryzen 7040 mobile series APUs based on the RDNA3 architecture with 8 of the 12 CUs (= 512 shaders) and a clock speed of up to 2.8 GHz.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

R5 7640HS: An upper mid-range processor (APU) of the Phoenix product family. It was brought to life in H1 2023 and it has 6 SMT-enabled Zen 4 cores (12 threads) running at 4.3 GHz to 5.0 GHz. The laptop chip is one of the first to feature Ryzen AI, AMD's answer to Intel's DL Boost and GNA technologies.
