Leaker @billbil_kun has shared details about alleged price drops heading to the Xbox Series X for this year's Black Friday sales period. For context, Microsoft recently increased the MSRP of its most powerful console from €499 to €549 in the Eurozone. Thus, any discounts will look more aggressive now than they did a few months ago.
Also, it is worth noting that @billbil_kun's leak only applies to France, courtesy of two retailers. However, one would assume that Microsoft will offer comparable discounts Eurozone-wide, as well as equivalents in other markets like the UK and the US. Reportedly, Microsoft intends it to sell the Xbox Series X for €449 between November 20 and November 27, despite Black Friday occurring on November 24 this year.
For reference, this deal only applies to the console itself. Given that Microsoft currently bundles the Xbox Series X with games for an extra €10, we suspect it will apply comparable discounts to these SKUs too. Unfortunately, @billbil_kun has not discovered whether Microsoft will also discount the Xbox Series S, although previous years would suggest that this will be the case.
Update
According to the same leaker, Microsoft will actually discount the Xbox Series X to €399.99, an additional €50 reduction. Additionally, the company will throw in a €10 loyalty card, effectively reducing the console's purchase price to €389.99. All other details remain unchanged, though.
