Another Apple iPhone 14 price leak has recently surfaced, with the purported amounts starting at a reasonable US$799 for the standard iPhone 14. However, things start getting expensive with the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, with a 1 TB variant of the latter potentially requiring a record-breaking amount for an official mainstream iPhone.

A popular leaker has been sharing some information about the Apple iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus/Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. A few alleged specifications are offered in the relevant posts, which throw up a couple of questions, and these are joined by the purported starting price tags for the upcoming iPhones. So, Anthony (@TheGalox_) states figures of US$799 and US$899 for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14+, respectively, while US$1,099 is apparently required for the base model of the iPhone 14 Pro. According to the tipster, US$1,199 will be the initial asking price for the cheapest configuration of the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Starting with the leaker's iPhone 14 price estimates, they actually match those that were provided by LeaksApplePro back in January. It’s unclear whether the current source is offering prices produced by their own insiders or simply repeating the amounts offered up by this previous source. However, if these price tags end up being accurate, it could actually leave fans shelling out up to US$1,699 for an Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max with 1 TB storage. This simply follows on from Cupertino’s current pricing strategy, which charges an additional US$500 on top of the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s US$1,099 price tag for those who want 1 TB capacity. At US$1,699, this would make the 1 TB iPhone 14 Pro Max the most-expensive Apple iPhone ever released (not including special editions or third-party custom devices).

Anthony does actually offer a couple of newer tidbits other than the prices, such as following the recent leak trend that Apple will go with an “iPhone 14 Plus” model name rather than with the oft-mentioned “iPhone 14 Max” label. This is where the source differs from other leakers such as LeaksApplePro, who is adamant that the name of the smartphone will be “iPhone 14 Max”. In addition, @TheGalox_ mentions that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will have up to 8 GB RAM, while many other tipsters have gone with 6 GB, so a pinch of salt is required here, too. As this source offers the same battery capacity figures that were previously leaked by ShrimpApplePro, it may be best to see these current details as something of an iPhone 14 “leak roundup”.
