LG unveiled it's latest flagship, the G7 ThinQ, a few weeks ago. While the device hasn't gone on sale yet, and there's no concrete information on how it will be priced, LG is already doing its best at attracting public attention—by offering the device with a free 4K TV on pre-order.
This deal is exclusive to Canada and is being driven by most carriers and retail outlets, including Best Buy, Walmart, Rogers, and Fido. The G7 is expected to come with an MSRP in the region of US$650, so this is a pretty great deal. The TV that comes as a bonus likely has a price tag of about US$350—it's an older model. It is, however, a decently-sized 4K TV, and will suffice for most.
LG, of recent, has become a less attractive proposition to Android users—enthusiasts, in particular—with a strong history of bootloops and shoddy software updates being major talking points. The company has remedied most of that in the recent past, though, although the latter is admittedly still a problem.
