A product listing for the LG 4K OLED evo ART90 TV has appeared on the German version of the company’s website. The TV was announced late last year and showcased at CES. As previously reported, the TV is part of LG’s Objet Collection, with a 4K display with an up to 120 Hz refresh rate.
The listing for the 65-in smart TV showcases the gadget’s unusual design; the TV is designed to be leaned against a wall, with a fabric cover that can slide up and down to hide or reveal the screen. Select Line View shows the top part of the screen to display information such as the date, time and weather.
Brightness Booster technology is included, which LG claims provides a 30% brighter image with rich colors and perfect blacks. An α9 Gen5 4K AI processor brings various intelligent features to the device, such as AI Sound Pro, AI Picture Pro and AI Brightness Control. The TV supports Filmmaker Mode technology, Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos and HDR10 Pro. Plus, the ART90 has a built-in 80 W 4.2-channel sound system for a cinematic sound experience.
The smart TV supports Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit, and you can control the TV with voice commands. You can cast to the TV via Apple AirPlay2 or connect via one of the HDMI 2.1 or USB ports. It is currently unclear when the device will launch in Europe and the US or how much it will cost. Rumors suggest that the gadget go on sale in South Korea soon for KRW 9.9 million (~US$8,355).
