Tertill Garden Weeding Robot is selling with US$150 off this Amazon Prime Day
The Tertill Garden Weeding Robot is on offer this Amazon Prime Day. The robot is solar-powered, with no need for alternative charging. The gadget uses scrubbing wheels to disrupt weed seeds as they grow and a string trimmer to cut any weeds identified in your garden.
Tertill uses plant height to determine whether something is a plant or a weed; anything which touches the robot’s shell is deemed a plant, and anything smaller than that is a weed and is cut with the string trimmer. The device comes with metal guards, which you can place around a young plant to prevent misidentification.
The robot can maintain an area up to 200 ft² (~19 m²), kept in place by a 4-in (~10 cm) barrier. Plants need to be spaced about 1 ft (~0.3 m) apart, and the surface needs to be somewhat flat and smooth for the robot to move easily. Tertill is weatherproof so you can store it outdoors, and you can activate the gadget by simply pressing a button on the device. It’s worth noting that the robot is only for borders or vegetable patches, not for lawns.
The device is from the inventor of Roomba and was first seen in 2017, receiving several software updates since. You can currently buy the Tertill Garden Weeding Robot in the US for US$199, with a US$150 discount off the regular retail price of US$349.
