The Mobile Intel Core 2 Duo X7800 (also called Core 2 Extreme X7800) was the fastest mobile CPU at the time of announcement but was later topped by the X9100 for example with over 3 GHz. Compared to other Core 2 Duo, the power consumption of 44 Watt is relatively high. The X7800 offers a free multiplicator for easy overclocking.
