Intel Atom Z670
The Intel Atom Z670 is a single core processor for tablets. It is a so called SoC (system on a chip) with an integrated Intel GMA 600 graphics card and a integrated DDR2-800 memory controller (single channel, max 2GB). It is part of the Oak Trail plattform and the CPU is built in 45nm. Technically the Lyncroft called CPU is similar to the Moorestown Smartphone Atom but with BIOS support. The TDP of 3 Watt should allow a fanless design. The CPU supports only 32 Bit and no virtualization features.
The performance should be similar to a 1.5 GHz clocked N-series Atom processor used in netbooks as the cores are compareable. However, the slower main memory may slow down the performance. All in all the performance is only suited for entry level tasks.
