Intel Atom D2500
The Intel Atom D2500 is a dual core entry level processor for Nettops and Desktops. Compared to the N-series of Atoms, the D-series does not feature Speedstep to save power. Therefore, the battery runtime should be clearly lower.
The CPU features a PowerVR SGX545 graphics card (at 400MHz) called Graphics Media Accelerator 3650 and a video decoding engine for MPEG4 Part2, VC-1, WMV9, and H.264. Furthermore, the chip now also supports DisplayPort 1.1 and HDMI 1.3a outputs. According to rumors, Intel had some troubles with the Windows graphics drivers.
The processor core should be still similar to the old Atom processors. Therefore the performance of the D2500 should be suited only for low demanding tasks.
The integrated 64Bit Single-Channel DDR3-800/1067 memory controller supports two SODIMMS and a maximum of 4 GB RAM.
