Huawei has launched a new member in its Nova 14 series, the Nova 14i, in Hong Kong. Huawei’s new budget-focused smartphone is priced at HKD 1,588 ($203) for the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. It will be available for purchase starting from February 6 in Hong Kong via Huawei’s official website.
The Nova 14i is a rebadged version of the Nova Y91 aka the Huawei Enjoy 60x, both of which debuted three years ago. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. Speaking of software, it runs EMUI 14.2 out of the box. Unfortunately, there’s no word on software support from the brand.
Furthermore, a large 7,000 mAh battery powers the Nova 14i and supports 22.5 W wired charging (the Anker 25 W USB-C charger curr. at $9.99 on Amazon). The company claims that the smartphone can offer up to 26 hours of video playback on a single charge. It’s equipped with a 6.95-inch LCD display with FHD+ (2376 x 1080 pixels) resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
Another highlight of the Nova 14i is the rear camera setup. This setup boasts two sensors: one 50 MP main camera and one 2 MP depth lens. Upfront, it has an 8 MP shooter for selfies and video chats. Dimension-wise, the smartphone measures 171.6 x 79.9 x 8.9 mm (6.75 x 3.14 x 0.35 inches) and weighs around 216 grams (0.47 lbs). There’s no word on its international availability at the time of writing.
