The Honor X40i is a decent phone since it offers a decent design layout, impressive performance, good battery life, and many other things that make this device superb. It will follow up with fast charging support and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Aside from this, the viewing experience does feel underwhelming because of the standard colors. The camera results are good enough to be described as presentable. Though, the phone’s flaws can be overlooked with the budget-friendly price point. Overall, if you are looking for a budget 5G phone from Honor, you should consider this phone. But on the other hand, if you are not a big fan of Honor, you should look at alternatives such as Vivo Y30 5G for well-rounded features.

The Honor X40i is a decent 5G smartphone announced in July 2022. It carries a 6.7 inches IPS LCD display panel with a 391-pixel density. For software layering, it brings the Android 12 OS with Magic UI 6.1 custom UI. Honor X40i is powered by the 7nm – MediaTek MT6833 Dimensity 700 chipset that can reach up to a 2.2GHz clocking speed. Alongside this, you get an 8GB / 12GB RAM option with support for 128GB to 256GB internal storage. The dual camera of the Honor X40i furnishes a 50MP main and a 2MP depth lens. On the front, you receive an 8MP selfie lens while you can record 1080p videos at 30fps from both the cameras. Furthermore, you also get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the device for security. The phone holds a huge Li-Po 4000 mAh battery capacity with support for 44W fast charging. You can purchase the phone in Black, Silver, Green, and Aurora color options. The Honor X40i starts at the price of $239 (Rs 18,990 in India) approx.

The latest to join the Honor family is none other than the Honor X40i. It is quite a decent 5G smartphone which came in this year. In terms of its display, this model has been equipped with a 6.7 inches IPS LCD display panel with a 391-pixel density. This is definitely one of the few smartphones out there with larger screens. While it may be quite an issue for those with smaller hands to handle this device, it is undeniable that the large display size allows higher resolutions. In addition, it also allows details like letters look bigger. As for its weight, this phone is considered slightly heavier than most lightweight phones out there with a weight of 0.175kg.
Apart from that, in terms of its software, this model has been incorporated with the Android 12 OS with Magic UI 6.1 custom UI. As far as its performance is concerned, the Honor X40i is powered by the 7nm MediaTek MT6833 Dimensity 700 chipset that can reach up to a 2.2GHz clocking speed. It is worth mentioning that the Dimensity 700 processor equipped in this phone is actually a fast mid-range SoC with an integrated 5G modem. It includes two fast ARM Cortex-A76 cores at up to 2.2 GHz and six power efficient Cortex-A55 cores at up to 2 GHz. In addition with the mentioned processor, the phone also caters for either an 8GB or12GB RAM option with support for 128GB to 256GB internal storage. As for its graphic cards, this smartphone carries the ARM Mali-G57 MP2 which is an integrated mid-range graphics card with 2 clusters and based on the Valhall architecture. However, it should be noted that only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards. High demanding games will not be quite smooth on this smartphone, which might be a drawback for some users though.
On the other hand, in terms of its camera setup, this model has been equipped with the dual camera which includes a 50MP main and a 2MP depth lens. As for the front, there is an 8MP selfie lens. It is worth noting that, the device allows 1080p videos recording at 30fps from both the cameras. Furthermore, there is also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the device for security and ease of access. As far as its battery is concerned, this phone holds a huge Li-Po 4000 mAh battery capacity with support for 44W fast charging. As for its external appearance, the Honor X40i is available in few variants namely in Black, Silver, Green, and Aurora colour options which opens the possibility for users to choose the ones that suits their personal taste. In a nutshell, it is a great phone to be explored, depending on the need and preference of the user.
