A very impressive budget handset, the Honor 200 Lite doesn’t cut too many corners and offers a solid Android experience.

The HONOR 200 Lite is a decent mid-range device, but it doesn’t offer anything particularly special. The first impression is positive, as the model is attractive, slim, stylish, and features a quality AMOLED screen. It also has really good cameras, a smooth and user-friendly operating system, all at a reasonable price. However, this isn’t enough to make it stand out in the market. It has some drawbacks that not everyone may tolerate: a weak battery and relatively slow charging, lack of basic accessories in the box, no stereo sound, and even basic splash protection is missing. Who might be interested in this new model? Firstly, it’s suitable for those who are looking for a simple phone for everyday use.

My recommendation for the Honor 200 Lite was on the fence for a minute there; the lack of meaningful performance improvements coupled with a £30 retail price increase rubbed me the wrong way, and the slightly weaker colour accuracy and mediocre secondary cameras did little to assuage my concerns. Those are all still valid criticisms – there really should have been more in the way of hardware advancements – but the Honor 200 Lite just about inches over the line thanks to its terrific main camera and impressive battery life. The lightweight build and bright AMOLED display are well worth the price of admission, too, but it’s ultimately the Honor 200 Lite’s stamina and photography chops that earn it our Recommended award.

At R9 999 (RRP), the HONOR 200 Lite 5G is well-priced in a space that is as competitive as it comes. It’s not all about the price tag, however, as it performs above many of the similarly specced offerings in this segment locally. If we are to critique the 200 Lite 5G, it is on the software side of things, as despite being an ultra-lightweight device, it is weighed down by a slightly stale feeling UI and a lot of bloatware. Should you take the time to address all of this in the setup phase with the phone, you are left with a device that you will be happy to carry for a couple of years at the very least.

Come for the affordable price point, stay for the more-than-acceptable battery life, build quality, camera capabilities, and display. The drop in performance and features from the flagship level is noticeable, but at this price, you might not care.

There’s a reason why Honor is considered the best smartphone in the Chinese smartphone market, whether you look at the built quality, performance, display, or battery life, they have something for every user. There entry-level phones like Honor 200 Lite provide a good combination of specs while cutting corners where necessary. Undoubtedly, the phone lacks performance, camera setup, and overall display quality. But, the phone exiles when it comes to streaming content, normal gaming, and other activities. Yet, if you aren’t interested in purchasing this device, then you should pick the Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 3. It has everything whether it’s gaming, fast refresh rate, high-resolution display, battery life, or even better image quality. Still, consider going through other options to make an ideal choice according to your needs.

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.

In 2014 Huawei created the sub brand Honor and offers certain smartphone series under this name. Occasionally the products are also called Huawei Honor.
The market share of Honor products is manageable, but there are several reviews on Honor smartphones with average ratings (as of 2016).
78.36%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
