This HP 17-y013na, when used as a desktop replacement unit, is a reasonable priced product with a good set of features. The laptop provides reasonable all-round performance for somebody, like my sister, who is not a heavy user. Priced at £399, this product comes with a one-year warranty that covers limited parts, labour and pickup and return service.

AMD office. HP's 17.3-inch device is made for users who are looking for a simple 17.3-inch notebook for home use. Accordingly, the computer comes with plenty of storage space (1 TB) and a more than sufficient amount of RAM (8 GB; dual-channel mode). However, these are all of the laptop's highlights. The list of shortcomings is more extensive.

The HP 17-cn0025nr is a decent desktop replacement laptop. Our critical quibbles with it are the not-so-bright HD+ screen resolution and its bulk build quality, but they shouldn’t be issues if it spends most of its time on your desk. It also offers a comfortable typing experience, is well priced, and has good performance and connectivity options. A few years back, all of this would have made the HP 17-inch laptop a kickass notebook for fans of big-screen machines. In 2022, however, you have better options than desktop-replacement buyers of yesteryear did. If a big screen on a laptop is what you’re after, you can get better value for your buck by choosing a 17-inch gaming notebook, some of which are thinner and lighter than the HP 17-cn0025nr; take, for example, the 17-inch iteration of the Acer Nitro 5. Otherwise, if you want a huge screen but are not willing to sacrifice portability, the relatively expensive LG Gram 17 (2021) offers toughly the same size display at about half the carry weight.

HP: The Hewlett-Packard Company, founded 1935, commonly referred to as HP, is a technology corporation headquartered in California, United States. HP specializes in developing and manufacturing computing, storage, and networking hardware, software and services. Major product lines include personal computing devices, enterprise servers, related storage devices, as well as a diverse range of printers and other imaging products. Other product lines, including electronic test equipment and systems, medical electronic equipment, solid state components and instrumentation for chemical analysis. HP posted US $91.7 billion in annual revenue in 2006, making it the world's largest technology vendor in terms of sales. In 2007 the revenue was $104 billion, making HP the first IT company in history to report revenues exceeding $100 billion.
Up to 2015, the company was named Hewlett Packard Company. After a split, the computer range was renamed to HP Inc.
In the laptop segment, HP was the world's largest manufacturer from 2014 to 2016 with a market share of 20-21% from 2014 to 2016, but they only exceed Lenovo by a small margin as of recently. HP is not present in the smartphone sector (as of 2016).
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
AMD Radeon R5 M430: Entry-level graphics card based on a 28nm GPU with DirectX 12 support.
AMD Radeon R7 M440: Entry level dedicated graphics card based on older R7 M340 in 28nm.
AMD Radeon R5 (Bristol Ridge): Integrated graphics card in the Bristol Ridge APUs and based on the third generation GCN architecture with 384 shader cores. Clock speeds and performance depend on the clock speed (720 to 800 MHz) configurable TDP limit (15 to 35 Watt versions) and main memory.
AMD Radeon 530: Entry class dedicated graphics card with 320 or 384 shaders (depending on the used chip) and DDR3 or GDDR5 graphics memory (both with a 64 Bit bus). Both chips are used for a few years, e.g. even starting with the Radeon 8590M (28nm GCN).
AMD Vega 3: Integrated graphics card of the Ryzen APUs based on the Vega architecture with 3 CUs (= 192 shaders) and a clock of up to 1200 MHz.
AMD Vega 8: Integrated graphics card of the Ryzen APUs based on the Vega architecture with 8 CUs (= 512 shaders) and a clock of up to 1100 MHz.
Intel UHD Graphics 620: Integrated GPU (GT2, 24 EUs) found on some Kaby-Lake-Refresh CPU models (15 W ULV series). Technically identical to the previous Kaby-Lake GPU called HD Graphics 620.
AMD Vega 7: Integrated graphics adapter of the Ryzen APUs based on the Vega architecture with 7 CUs (= 448 shaders) and a clock speed of up to 1,600 MHz.
Intel Iris Xe G7 80EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake G7 SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 80 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model. The Tiger Lake chips are produced in the modern 10nm+ process at Intel.
Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.
Intel HD Graphics 400 (Braswell): Integrated graphics card in the Intel Braswell series (2016 Celeron) processors. Based on the Broadwell architecture (Intel Gen8) supporting DirectX 11.2. Depending on the processor offers 12 shader cores (EU) and different clock speeds.
AMD Radeon R5 (Beema/Carrizo-L): Integrated graphics card in several AMD APUs (Beema and Carrizo-L).
Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.
AMD Radeon R2 (Mullins/Beema/Carrizo-L):
Integrated GPU on select AMD Beema or Mullins APUs. Based on the GCN architecture with 128 shader units and a core clock of 300 - 500 MHz.

AMD E-Series:
E2-7110: Quad-core x86 SoC running at up to 1.8 GHz for entry-level devices and sub-notebooks, codenamed Carrizo-L. Based on the Puma+ architecture and integrates a Radeon GPU.
Intel Kaby Lake Refresh:
i5-8250U: Kaby-Lake-Refresh based low power quad-core processor. The four cores are clocked between 1.6 and 3.4 GHz (Turbo Boost) and support HyperThreading. The integrated GPU is clocked between 300 and 1,100 MHz. The SoC is manufactured in a 14nm+ FinFET process.
AMD Raven Ridge (Ryzen 2000 APU):
R3 2200U: Mobile APU that integrates two Zen cores (with SMT, therefore 4 threads) clocked at 2.5 to 3.4 GHz. The TDP is configurable between 12 to 25 Watt (15 W nominal) and the integrated Radeon RX Vega 3 is clocked at up to 1000 MHz.
R5 2500U: Mobile APU that integrates four Zen cores clocked at 2 to 3.6 GHz. The TDP is configurable between 12 to 25 Watt (15 W nominal) and the integrated Radeon RX Vega 8 is clocked at up to 1100 MHz.
